Review a High-Commitment Continue-or-Stop Decision
For a commitment with multiple stakeholders, dependencies, or meaningful switching costs, compare future paths explicitly and document which current facts justify the next step.
Portable instruction
What the agent should do
Define the feasible options. For each option record future cost, expected benefit, dependency or obligation, switching cost, reversibility, and important uncertainty. Ask what you would choose if the unrecoverable past investment were already accepted as history, then reconcile that answer with real current constraints.

Which current facts justify continuing or stopping, which past costs are irrelevant to the next choice, and what uncertainty still matters?
