Write a Context Brief Before Drafting
Before drafting, write a compact brief that identifies the primary reader, where the text will appear, what the reader should understand or do, which constraints apply, and what facts or sources must be verified.

Write the primary reader, publication surface, desired reader action or understanding, required tone or format constraints, facts that must be checked, and any detail that should be omitted for privacy, confidentiality or scope. Then build the outline from that brief.
